Community Grants 2026 - Round 1

Submissions are now being accepted. Submissions close at midnight 16 March 2026 (AEDT).

IMPORTANT: Please read the information below before starting your application.

Before you begin

Welcome to the NAB Foundation’s online grant application service, powered by SmartyGrants.

You may begin anywhere in the application form. Please ensure you save regularly as you go.

If you have questions about the guidelines, deadlines, or anything in the form, please contact us during business hours at nabfoundation@nab.com.au and quote your submission number.

If you need help using SmartyGrants, you can access the Help Guide for Applicants or the Frequently Asked Questions through the SmartyGrants website.

Navigating the application form

A navigation panel appears on every page of the form, linking to each section. Click any link to jump directly to the page you need.

You can also move through the form by selecting Next page or Previous page at the top or bottom of each screen.

Saving your draft application

If you wish to leave a partially completed application, select Save and Close and log out.

When you log back in and choose My Submissions, you will see any applications you have started or submitted. You can reopen your draft and continue where you left off.

You may also download any draft or completed application as a PDF by selecting Download PDF on the last page of the form.

Submitting your application

A Review and Submit button appears in the navigation panel. You must review your application before you can submit it.

Once reviewed, select Submit at the top or bottom of the screen, or in the navigation panel.

You will not be able to submit your application until all compulsory questions have been answered and there are no validation errors.

Once submitted, you will not be able to edit your application or upload additional materials.

After submission, you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF copy of your application. This will be sent to the email address you used to register.

If you do not receive this email, your application has not been successfully submitted.

Please also check your junk or spam folder.

Attachments and supporting documents

You may need to upload supporting documents as part of your application. Please ensure these files are saved on your device before uploading.

Allow each file to finish uploading before adding the next one.

Files can be up to 25MB, although we recommend keeping them under 5MB for faster upload times.

Completing an application as a group or team

Multiple people can work on an application using the same login details, however only one person should work in the form at a time.

Please remember to save regularly.

Spell check

Most modern web browsers (including Chrome, Safari and Firefox) have built‑in spell check functionality. You can turn this on or off through your browser settings.
